There is a chance you might see the orangutan in jungle. The longer you spend time, the more chance you might see the orangutan. This is a wild place and the wild animals are traveling in search for food during day time

There are some ATMs at Gotong Royong Indomaret. This Atm is limited. There some ATMs at Bahorok, 9km away from bukit lawang. You could take tuktuk or scooter to tranport you there. There are few money changer in Bukit Lawang. Best way is that you could bring enough cash from the city of Medan. There are so many ATMs at airport or along your way to Bukit lawang. ask the driver to stop at the atms if you go with the private car.
Well.. sure.. There is few things you need to be aware of. The source of the water people used in the village around sumatra mainly ground water. This water need to be boiled before consume it. Always drink from bottled water or refill water that is from the water company. DONT DRINK TAP WATER even at the big hotel.
Don’t eat random street food, especially foods that exposed to the open air. This type of food prepared much earlier and in the morning and last until night time or even the next day. The food will be reheated repeatedly.
Yes.. There are many good restaurant in Bukit Lawang. They are open until 10pm. This restaurant are not fast food. This restaurant offer Order to make food. Try Indonesian food instead European food. The local food will taste better than western food in bukit lawang. However, you could order some western food in the restaurant as well.
Indonesian food especially in Sumatra are Very Spicy with Chilies. You have to mentioned specifically to the waiter if you don’t like spicy food.
Yes.. There are but not always. If you choose not to join in the group is OK. Mostly of the time the trekking will be going in the small group max 6 people.
The GUIDE Speak English very well
There are not many places that specialized on this type of food. But surely we can managed for you. All you need to do is let us know either you are vegan and vegetarian and explain to us what are the food requirements.. Then we will make it ready for you through out the jungle trek tour
We will supply all the meal and drink through out the Jungle Trek Tour. Some tropical Fresh fruit will be served during the Breaks time.
We need to arrange the driver,tent equipment and all team will be involved organizing the tour you ordered. Then these thing need to book to secures the dates. We required to get 20 % DEPOSIT payment for the TOTAL COST of your tours. The remaining balance can be paid upon your arrival in Bukit Lawang. We would like to received in indonesian Currency.
For the DEPOSIT payment can be transfer with REVOLUT or WISE directly to our Indonesia Bank Account. Then we will received in indonesia IDR.
There will be some porters accompany through the jungle and Some other porter going from different direction with all other equipment needed (tent, camping mats, sleeping bags) and all the food. Just bring your personal belongings in a small backpack.
It would be of advantage if you could bring your own light sleeping bag. If you don’t have a sleeping bag that’s no problem:our team will provide sleeping bags as well as safety jackets for tube rafting.
Concerning toilet arrangements: this is real jungle trekking! You will find many “jungle toilets” behind big trees!
It is possible to join one of our jungle trek tour. You could join the group and pay for a single person cost. It cost 70 EURO per person / day for the jungle trek tour. The minimum number of people is 2PX to do Jungle trek tour to cover the whole cost if you choose not to join the group. Mean that you need to pay for two if you are on your own and don’t join the group – PRIVATE TOUR
Yes,there is an easier jungle trekking for children and we can send an extra guide for your safety, if you wish.
