My name is RIMBA. I am the founder,manager and operator of this small company along with all my team. I was born and and raised in the village of Bukit lawang bordered with National Park of Gunung Leuser. My parents are farmers. They have various type of plantation like Cocoa,coconut,durian,rubber and so on. I used to work on their plantation and other as well before i get into Sumatra Orangutan Trekking Tourism.
I started as a tour guide assistant for Sumatra Orangutan Jungle trek tours, assisting and following the group through the bukit lawang jungle few years, before i became an actual Full time licensed Sumatra jungle Trek Tour guide. I learnt English and the path and also the local knowledge while assisting the jungle trek tour. I was able to drive and fully licensed and at at age 20s and started driving to multiples touristic places in this region at the same time.
Gunung Leuser National Park is a protected area located in northern Sumatra, Indonesia, and spans over 8,300 square kilometers. It is part of the larger Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The park is named after Gunung Leuser, a prominent mountain in the region, and is known for its rich biodiversity and lush rainforests.
