Hi, I’m Rimba, the founder of Sumatra Tour and Travel. Born and raised in Bukit Lawang, I turned my passion for nature and wildlife into a lifelong mission: sharing the magic of Sumatra’s jungles while protecting them for future generations.

Together with my local team, we provide guided jungle treks, cultural tours, and eco-travel experiences in Bukit Lawang, Ketambe, Tangkahan, and SAMOSIR ISLAND – LAKE TOBA.

Gunung Leuser National Park

Spanning over 8,300 km², Gunung Leuser National Park is part of the UNESCO-listed Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra. It’s one of the last places on Earth where you can still find:

• Sumatran rhinos

• Sumatran elephants

From lowland rainforests to mountain peaks, it’s a treasure trove of biodiversity. But this fragile ecosystem is under threat from illegal logging and deforestation — making conservation-driven tourism more important than ever.
