Batak Culture and Batak Village tour on Samosir Island. You need to do it on your own. Most people would go by Scooter. If you wish us to drive you around on the island, or organizing the trip on the island, Just inform us upon your booking. otherwise you could ask the people from accommodation to organize the trip for you upon your arrival.

Tour Explain

DAY 1 : Arrival in Medan – Transfer to Bukit Lawang

Day 1: Arrival in Medan – Transfer to Bukit Lawang

Arrival at Kualanamu International Airport, Medan.
Meet & greet with local guide/driver.
Drive (~4 hours) to Bukit Lawang, a village on the edge of Gunung Leuser National Park.
Stop at palm oil & rubber plantations en route.
Check-in at eco-lodge or jungle guesthouse near the Bohorok River.
Evening: Free time to relax and enjoy the riverside atmosphere.

Overnight: Bukit Lawang

DAY 2 : LOCAL VILLAGE TOUR

Day 2: Local Village Tour | Bat cave | Elephant Sanctuary at Tangkahan

This is the optional what you could do on this day. The reason is that you need to get used to the tropical heat and temperature before heading to the jungle. The Local village tour and the Bat Cave tour is included in the price.

Choosing the Elephant sanctuary will make little different in price due to the transportation needed to go and return, also there is some charges to the Elephant Activity, such as bathing the elephant,walk the elephant into jungle.

VILLAGE TOUR

Explore the village by Tuk Tuk. Stop for the Palm Sugar Manufactures, Tofu and Tempe Process, Palm leave and Bamboo Weaving ect
Try local food for lunch.
There is a local market every Friday
Evening at leisure.

Bat Cave and Landak River Trail

Stroll for 1 hour from Bukit lawang will take you to the beautiful rock formation of Bat Cave. The cave is dark, going through narrow path.
Exploring the Cave, very sharp formation of stalactites and stalacmites. There are many Bats and Swallow Bird.
It will take about 2-3 hours to complete the cave tour.
If you wish to continue to stroll further to the Landak river. Another smaller river with some local activities and Bordered with the Rain Forest

Sumatra Elephant Sanctuary – Tangkahan

Start the transfer on the Off road car to Tangkahan. Drive trough the palm oil plantation for 2 hours
Walk with the elephant tour ( If you booked it)
Lunch at the partner Place
Join the group for the elephant bath in the river
Experience the sensation of Cold water mixed with Hot spring water

Day 3: Jungle Trekking Day 1 – Orangutan Spotting in Gunung Leuser - Camp 1

Day 1 Jungle Trekking – Orangutan Spotting in Gunung Leuser Reaching the Campsite

Full-day jungle trek in the national park.
Explore tropical rainforest and spot Sumatran orangutans, gibbons, Thomas leaf monkeys, hornbills, and other wildlife.
Picnic lunch in the jungle.
Continue trekking, deeper into the jungle. Reach the campsite by afternoon.
Take a rest and swim by the river near the campsite
The team will prepare the dinner
Evening chat by the bonfire at the campsite listening to the sounds of the jungle
Stay at the campsite for the night

Overnight: Stay for the night at the Campsite on the TENT

Day 4: Short Trekking - Packing and tidy up then Return to the village by Tube Rafting

Day 2 Jungle Trekking. Visit the Small waterfall, packing and return to the village

Short jungle trek ( 3-4 Hours). Enjoy the small waterfall near the campsite
Have lunch by midday, packing and Tidy up the campsite. Make sure nothing is left behind.
Return to the Bukit Lawang Village by Tube Rafting

Overnight: Bukit Lawang

Day 5: Bukit Lawang – Berastagi Transfer

Day 5: Bukit Lawang – Berastagi Transfer inland Tour

After breakfast, depart for Berastagi (~4–5 hours drive).
En route, stop at Mount Sinabung Rest Area, Karonese Traditional Village KUTA LINGGA, GHOST VILLAGE
Visit Lumbini Natural Park, a large Buddhist temple complex.
Explore Berastagi town and Gundaling Hill for sunset views.
Visit the local market famous for passionfruit and flowers.

Overnight: Berastagi

Day 6: Volcano Visit & Thermal Bath

Day 6: Volcano Hike and Sunrise | Hot spring thermal bath on the way down

Early morning hike or drive to Mount Sibayak for sunrise and sulfur springs.
Optional: Soak in the hot springs after descending.
Visit the Karo People traditional village in Dokan.
Afternoon departure to Lake Toba (~4–5 hours).
Stop at Sipiso-piso Waterfall and Lake Toba viewpoint at Tongging.
Catch FERRY to cross the lake toba

Overnight: Parapat or Samosir Island

Day 7: Explore Samosir Island (Lake Toba)

Visit Ambarita Village: ancient stone chairs and execution site of the Batak King.
Simanindo Cultural Show (depending on schedule).
Visit Tomok Village to see the Tomb of King Sidabutar.
Optional: Bicycle ride or relax by the lake.

Overnight: Samosir Island

Day 8: Lake Toba – Medan Airport for Departure

Free time depending on flight schedule.
Transfer to Kualanamu Airport for departure.
Morning ferry back to Parapat.
Drive back to Medan Airpot or Hotel Near Airport (~5–6 hours)
