Tour Explain and Itinerary

Day 1: Into the Wild – Jungle Introduction and Jungle Exploration | Reaching the campsite

  • 08:30 AM – Your guide will meet you at the Meeting point ( Bamboo Restaurant Eco Lodge) or at the  guesthouse where you are staying. There will be some short briefing. You’ll begin your trek by crossing the river and entering the dense rainforest of Gunung Leuser. Dont forget to have breakfast in the morning
  • Morning Hike
    As you ascend into the jungle, keep your eyes peeled for orangutans swinging through the trees, playful Thomas leaf monkeys, and wild macaques. Your guide will share fascinating insights into the ecosystem and the wildlife that call it home.
  • Lunch in the Jungle
    Enjoy a delicious jungle-style lunch prepared by your guide — typically fried rice or noodles with tropical fruits.
  • Afternoon Trekking
    Continue deeper into the forest. Trek through valleys, cross jungle streams, and pause at hidden viewpoints. Expect to hike for 5-6 hours in total, with plenty of stops for rest, wildlife spotting, and photography.
  • Evening Camp Setup
    Arrive at the riverside campsite. Take a refreshing dip in the river or just relax with a cup of jungle tea. Your guide and porters will cook a hearty Indonesian dinner over an open fire.
  • Overnight Stay
    Sleep in a jungle tent under mosquito nets, surrounded by the sounds of nature — a true back-to-nature experience.

Day 2: Short trekking, Packing and Tidy up, then  Return  by Tube Rafting to the village

  • 07:00 AM – Wake up to the sounds of the jungle and enjoy a light breakfast. Go for a short morning walk if time permits — great for birdwatching and photography. There will be short jungle trek, around 4 hours. or you could enjoy the small waterfall near by the camp area
  • River Tubing Experience
    Have lunch at the campsite by midday. Packing and tidy up the area. Don’t leave any garbage in the jungle. Time to leave the jungle, hop onto an inner tube raft and float down the river back to Bukit Lawang — a fun and scenic end to your jungle adventure.
  • 2:00 PM – Arrive back in Bukit Lawang village. End of tour. Take a shower and relax or enjoy a local lunch before continuing your journey.
  • ! If you wish to go back to Hotel in Medan city or Near The airport, maybe you have flight to catch, you can also start the transfer back as soon as you are ready. We can Organize your transfer back if you wish to do so.

There are many mosquitos and some leeches in the jungle. Make sure put on some mosquito spray or repellent. We can obtain the local mosquito repellent in any shop in Bukit lawang. Only available for  13 % max  deed. If you need higher deed or stronger mosquito repellent, you need to obtain it yourself from your country.

  • Village Day Tour : 350.000/ person | go around the village by tuk tuk to interact and observe the daily life of the locals. visit the Tofu and tempeh home production, palm leaf and bamboo weaving, try out some the durian fruit or young coconut, observing the palm sugar home production

  • Batcave and Landak River: 300.000| person.  It is one hour walking distance from Bukit lawang. A dark cave with very beautiful shape of stalactite and stalagmite rocks. it takes 2 hours to complete the cave tour

  • Sumatra Elephant Sanctuary: Get along and participate in one of the Sumatran Elephant activity at the border of the national park Tangkahan. Walk with the elephant to the river trough the Sumatra jungle, then bath the elephant in the river. This activity is 8.30 am and 3.30 pm. For the walking and bathing the elephant, the CRU will charge for 1.000.000 IDR, 600.000 IDR for only bathing the elephant. We will organized the transport to go and back to Bukit lawang village for 1.200.000, IDR. The car fit 4px max. Lunch will be provided
  • Volcano Hike Mount Sibayak – BERASTAGI: 500.000 IDR| 2px Min.  You need to be in Beratagi to do this Tour. Climb a magnificent active volcano in Berastagi Region- Mount Sibayak. Suitable almost for everyone. The summit is only 2200 meter. You could do it early in the morning for the sunrise or at anytime during the day. Volcano views  with many Fume Holes all over the crater. Take a dip into the Thermal bath pond at the bottom of the mountain on your way down.
